Oriental-style chickpea salad with Tasty Pot Hibiscus & Baharat | Vegan salad idea
This fresh chickpea salad with Tasty-Pott hibiscus flowers and baharat spice is a colorful, protein-rich treat—perfect as a vegan side dish or main course.
Ingredients for 2-3 servings:
🔻1 can (approx. 240 g drained weight) chickpeas, rinsed or soaked organic chickpeas from Tasty Pott
🔻½ red bell pepper, diced 🌶🔻 ½ cucumber, deseeded and diced 🥒🔻 1 small red onion, finely chopped
diced 🔻 1 tbsp lemon juice 🔻 1 tsp dried organic hibiscus flowers from Tasty-Pott , lightly crumbled
🔻 1 tsp Tasty-Pott Baharat 🔻 2 tbsp olive oil 🔻 Salt & pepper 🔻 Fresh parsley or mint to garnish.
Easy preparation:
1. Place chickpeas, bell pepper, cucumber, onion, and hibiscus flowers in a bowl.
2. In a small bowl, mix lemon juice, baharat, olive oil, salt and pepper.
3. Pour the dressing over the salad, mix well and let stand for 5-10 minutes.
4. Garnish with fresh parsley or mint and serve.

For an oriental twist, you can add pomegranate seeds or toasted sesame seeds . It's also delicious as a filling for pita or wraps!
