This vegan Bolognese is a true classic, quick to make and full of flavor – perfect for every day!
Ingredients:
200g Tasty Pott Organic Soy Strips
2 tbsp Tasty Pott Organic Bolognese Seasoning
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large onion
2 cloves of garlic
2 carrots
1 stick of celery
800g chopped tomatoes (from a can)
2 tbsp tomato paste 500ml vegetable broth (e.g. with the Tasty Pott organic vegetable broth)
1 teaspoon agave syrup (optional)
1 dash of soy sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh herbs (e.g. basil or oregano) for garnishing
preparation
1. Place the soy chunks in a bowl, pour hot vegetable stock over them, and let them swell for at least 10 minutes. Then drain well and squeeze the excess water gently.
2. Finely dice the onion, garlic, carrots, and celery. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Sauté the onion and garlic until translucent. Add the carrots and celery and sauté for a few minutes.
3. Add the drained soy chunks to the vegetables and roast over high heat. Stir in the Tasty Pott Organic Bolognese seasoning and cook briefly.
4. Stir in the tomato paste, then add the chopped tomatoes. Add a dash of soy sauce and, if desired, the agave syrup. Mix well.
5. Simmer the sauce uncovered over medium heat for 20–30 minutes until it thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Serve with pasta of your choice. Sprinkle with fresh herbs and enjoy!
Tasty Tips:
- The sauce can be easily frozen and prepared in advance.
- A dash of red wine rounds off the aroma even more.
- If you like, you can also fry chopped zucchini, peppers or mushrooms.
